Coupling Nuts (also known as Hex Coupler Nuts or Rod Couplers) are elongated hex nuts utilized in the joining of 2 pieces of threaded rod, pipe, or other externally threaded fasteners.  They are available in a variety of diameters, lengths, materials and finishes.  When joining 2 pieces of like-diameters rods, standard Coupling Nuts may be used.  If you must join different diameters together, Reducer Coupling Nuts may be employed.
