Finishing Washers (also known as Countersunk or Cup Washers) are designed for applications requiring a decorative or “finished” appearance.  A flat head or oval head screw nests snugly down into the contoured recess of the Finishing Washer, eliminating any rough or sharp edges that a standard flat washer would otherwise introduce.  Finishing Washers also serve to protect the surface material from any marring that may occur from either the screw or a flat washer.  Because appearance is a critical consideration whenever employing Finishing Washers, standard materials available often include stainless steel and brass.
