Tee Nuts at Empire Bolt & Screw

Tee Nuts (or T-nuts) are comprised of an internally threaded barrel with an integrally formed flange base, the profile forming the shape of a T.  They are designed for use in wood, particle board, composite, or other soft materials.  Tee Nuts have several sharp, often serrated prongs (usually 3 or 4) that extend from the flange and dig into the installation material to prevent the spinning of the nut once seated.  They are used extensively in the furniture industry as they provide better retention over time than wood screws, they allow a flush-mount seating directly into the parent material, and they allow for repeated assembly and disassembly.  They are available in a variety of sizes, materials, and finishes.
